Ladies’ Christmas Tea
December 1 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The annual Ladies’ Christmas Tea is a signature event for our church. We welcome all women to join us in this festive tradition, to enjoy a morning of rich fellowship and exquisite brunch, while resting in the service offered by the men of the church. But the highlight of the event is undoubtedly our gifted speaker. This year, we are honored to have Rebecca Eaton as our speaker, and we are excited for what she has to share with us.
Theme: Faith That is Certain in an Uncertain World
Date: Saturday, December 1
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm (doors open at 9:30am)
Location: Cornerstone Church
Guest Speaker: Rebecca Eaton
How can I have faith in God when my future is unknown and my circumstances feel wrong and unfair? When things aren’t as they should be, how can I still believe God cares for me?
In the face of uncertainty or a life-altering experience a natural response is to be afraid. There are good reasons to be afraid, because this life is fragile. God knows all of this. That is why so often in Scripture he gently encourages people who are uncertain with the phrase—do not be afraid, I am with you. Yet believing God is near requires faith. And faith instead of fear can be particularly challenging in the face of uncertainty.
Join us as we explore the uncertainty Mary faced when the Angel Gabriel visited her and told her she was with child. We will look at Mary’s experience that day and in the days that followed. We will explore the significance of the incarnation and why it is we can have faith that is certain in a very uncertain world.
Guests are always welcome; we encourage all ladies to invite friends and family members that would be blessed in having their faith strengthened. Ladies, you will not want to miss this encouraging and uplifting morning of fellowship and exploration of what God’s Word has to say to us. Tickets are available for sale for $15.00 at Cornerstone Church.
